Things are moving along with FREEZER BURN. We locked in a rough cut about a month ago. It was screened here in Hollywood for a small part of the crew(see pictures below) and we definitely seem to be on the right track. Expect some further announcements soon.

First of all, we should have the new trailer online in the next few days. Everything's looking great so far. We had a small gathering of the crew a day or two back to view and critique the trailer and it was well received.

Hello again. Sorry about the long delay. Aside from the fact that we've been busy as can be making this movie, I have yet to replace my broken digital camera. Days 12 & 13

More and more and more. We had a slight digital camera-related tragedy today, so we didn't get a lot of pictures from Day 13. I'm hoping I'll be able to scare some up and do a second update later on.

Everything went well today, thankfully. Today was Ella Rae's first day of shooting (and she was great, as expected!)... Rob and CC had some great moments. Despite a pretty chaotic location (there was a musical going on next door...) we managed to get all our shots of on time. Whew.

Must. Sleep. Bed. Snore....

Days 7-11

Sorry this update took so long! It's been a loooong week. We just finished up the first stretch of shooting- 11 days! Sheesh. All is well, all is well. Everything's looking good. We had a busy weekend, shooting the big finale AND the huge restaurant scene back-to-back. However, we had some wonderful extras and our rockin' crew hands helped make everything move quickly. Rob, our Virgil, also celebrated a birthday during the week, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB! So for now, we have a day off! One whole day........ ::sob::

We're almost half way through the shoot now- it's kind of scary! We have about 2 weeks (not including breaks) left of actual photography before we move into the post-production phase (which consists of more sleeping and fewer bacon/egg/cheeses). God bless set food. Everything is going so well! We're having a great time- and I encourage anyone who has a desire to help out on set to contact us! You can find the info here:

Days 5 & 6

This weekend is the roughest weekend we have scheduled for the shoot. Friday went slower than expected, but we got everything we intended to get. Thanks again to Gary, the head weenie, for letting us shoot at Super Duper Weenie Man. Saturday was ROUGH. We shot the finale. While we didn't get everything we hoped to, the stuff we shot is apparently working really well. So now we just need a few pickups... no biggie. At least it didn't rain like it was supposed to! And having the majority of our actors there at once was a lot of fun. We really have a hell of a cast/crew. Anyway- here are some non-spoilerish pictures.

(Oh, and at the bottom you can catch a glimpse of VIRGIL'S LAB set which is still being built on a soundstage at Tripeg Studios).

Days 3 & 4

Just finished day four. Good stuff all around. We had a bit of a technical scare yesterday when we thought we might have shot a whole scene in the wrong format, but as it turns out, it shouldn't be a biggie. Thanks Griz! You da man.

Poor Rob can't seem to get any clothes on. We keep thinking we've wrapped all the stuff in his undies, but it's never the truth. It's all good though- he's a trooper. Thanks Rob! You da man.

We actually had a special visitor yesterday when Rob's wife Marcy visited set. We even managed to wrangle her into a small role in the film. She was FANTASTIC! All in all, things are going really really well. I'm going to attempt to not spoil everything from the movie for those (2) of you who actually want to see it... so I'll just leave it at that.

Here are some set pictures from the first 2 days of photography on FREEZER BURN. Day one went very smoothly. Though the New England cool finally caught up with us, Rob toughed it out (despite his first shots in the film involving running around South Norwalk in his undies). Day two got off to a rough start when horrible weather forced us to cancel our exterior shots, but we managed to switch a few things around in the schedule and make progress anyway. We shot several scenes on the "REX'S CARDBOARD HOUSE" set. Seemingly, everything turned out quite well.

Hopefully the weather will hold up tomorrow. MORE TO COME!

Well, tomorrow's the big day. We're going to spend the morning doing last minute prep and getting everything organized. Rob is coming up from New York to get settled later on tonight. It looks like the weather will hold through till at least tomorrow, so that's refreshing. It's going to be COLD though. We'll see what happens. And as a last minute shocker, MYKIE showed up in town! I guess we'll get this thing started then...

T-minus 9 days until we start shooting! It's down to the wire- but all is well and things are exciting! Rehearsals are next week and the last parts are being cast. The influx of 'Freezer Burn' related material should start up pretty soon after that. For now, here are two additions to our (fantastic!) cast that are most definitely worth taking a look at!

Pre-Production Winds Down

As our October 24th start date approaches, the crew of HCP Productions is preparing for our 3-4 week shoot. We finished our main casting last week, and will continue to go through the motions until the end of the month. As we make 'Freezer Burn,' we will try and use this journal to keep anyone interested up to date with on set stories and our day-to-day happenings.

I'll keep this one short, but I figured I'd take this opportunity to introduce everyone to three of our lead actors. This is by no means a full cast list, but it will hold you over until we post a full one on the main site.

Without further delay...
